Let’s give a warm welcome to the incredible Amy Myers, Senior Vice President at Leadtree Global! Your over 30 years of valuable industry experience is very impressive! Could you reflect on the evolution of your career journey as you navigated through professional landscapes from being a trade show/event manager, working your way up to  VP of Ovation Credit Services, to founding 64 and More Consulting and now your latest venture with Leadtree Global?

It sounds like I just couldn’t figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up.  My time spent managing over 50 trade shows and events per year  in the consumer electronics industry opened my eyes to the world of sales and networking.  I fell in love.  Once I dipped my toe into sales, I found a passion for seeking out pain points and offering solutions to overcome them.  My time at Ovation Credit will always hold a special place in my heart.  It was here that my dear friend and mentor, Terry Cordell,  took a chance on me and said “take this and run with it!”.  I haven’t stopped running since.  Joining the team with Leadtree Global is just an extension of wrapping everything I’ve done over the past 30 years and continuing to grow by now delving into the affiliate network side of the industry, instead of only being a buyer from networks.  I am really enjoying this new challenge and could not ever have asked for a more supportive team to work with.

Amy, being a part of Leadtree Global as the Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships, what sets the Leadtree Global network apart from its competitors in the realm of short-term lending solutions? Additionally, could you share what aspects of your role or the company culture at Leadtree Global resonate with you the most, making your experience there fulfilling and enjoyable?

As it relates to the company culture at Leadtree Global, it is hands down the best example of an inclusive culture I’ve ever witnessed.  Rank and title hold little significance here.  Every team member is valued, appreciated and encouraged to speak out for the good of the company.  The longevity of the team members is quite impressive and I feel it is because everyone feels as if they are part of something great!  This is a company that doesn’t believe in the “that’s how we’ve always done it” mentality.  Everyone is encouraged to find ways to improve our business model.  It is a true privilege to work with such a great group of mates. (Headquarters are based in the UK, so I’m learning the lingo).

In your current role at Leadtree Global, how do you envision bridging the gap between consumer financial needs and the affiliates offering short-term lending solutions? What challenges do you see or foresee in this process, and how do you plan to address them?

I have always had pride in each role, that at the end of the day, I can make a positive difference.  The team at Leadtree Global has embraced this value and is allowing me to branch out into additional verticals that will offer longer term options and education to consumers.  It’s great to be able to help a consumer in need of immediate financial assistance to face life’s curveballs, but we can do more.   Short-term loans are usually not a long-term solution for improving a consumer’s financial position.  It is important that I work with companies that can offer long term solutions and education to ensure the consumer can get ahead and understand how to make the most of their income.  We strive to also give consumers tools to prevent them from falling into habits that ultimately hold them back from being the best and smartest financial consumer possible.

That’s why Leadtree Global is expanding to provide more than immediate lending offers.  We want to also focus on helping consumers who are drowning in debt or who just need help improving their credit profile to access money in the future at more favorable interest rates.  We will also focus on helping consumers who are just starting out in life with options to build good credit.  In all of these verticals, I will look for partners that focus on education and life improvement.  There may be other verticals too, in 2024, but we are starting where my passion lies.

Amy, in your recent posts and in our chats, you mentioned your interest in connecting with individuals or networks involved in personal loan lead generation. Could you elaborate on the ideal profile of professionals or companies you're seeking to collaborate with? Who, specifically, should reach out to you, and what kind of expertise or resources would be most beneficial for fostering successful partnerships in this niche?

Yes, that is true.  I am looking to focus on relaunching Leadtree Global’s short-term lending vertical in the US.  We are seeking compliant publishers offering high quality leads for consumers seeking short term loans.  Ideally, Publishers that are marketing to consumers who are in need of personal loans up to $5,000 is where I would like to start. I am looking for Publishers and Affiliate Network Partners that promote strong relationships centered on integrity, honesty and transparent communication.

Amy Myers Lead Tree Global Female Power Player

Amy, as a prominent figure in the digital marketing sphere and a founding member of LinkUnite, have you encountered specific challenges or advantages being a woman in this field throughout your career? Additionally, given your extensive experience, how do you envision the future trajectory for the inclusion and growth of women in the digital marketing industry? What steps do you believe are crucial for fostering greater opportunities and representation for women in this evolving landscape?

It’s no surprise that this has traditionally been considered a male-dominated industry, especially in Fintech.  I don’t know any woman in our industry that hasn’t been talked over, dismissed, harassed or minimalized in their careers, but I am proud to say I am seeing real tangible improvements. During my 20’s and 30’s it was common for me to attend events and be the only woman in the meeting or at the dinner table.  I’m now what I like to call “mid-century modern”, and I’m finally seeing a significant increase in women leading successful businesses, playing key roles in conferences and delivering invaluable information during conference sessions.  It’s exciting to witness women not only speaking their minds, but actually being asked for their opinions and for advice.  The work that the LinkUnite team is doing plays an invaluable role in this industry shift.  Not only is it no longer impolite for women to self promote, but if a woman is still uncomfortable with this notion, the women of LinkUnite rally to promote all of their members endlessly. For this, I will forever be honored to say I am a founding member of LinkUnite!   I see our future continuing to grow as leaders and mentors and look forward to the day when I will not be seen as a strong “woman”, but simply a strong leader.  Gender does not have to play a role in that distinction.

Amy, I’m impressed by your roles as a mother, wife, sister, and passionate friend, alongside being a resolute businesswoman. How do these personal relationships and experiences contribute to your approach in the business world? In what ways has being a mom, wife, and maintaining strong connections with loved ones influenced your leadership style or decision-making within the realm of strategic partnerships and business development?

Everything in my life is for my family.  Those who know me, know I have a husband hand-picked in heaven, who is my #1 fan and supporter and a son that I will walk to the ends of the earth for. I am very passionate about my family bonds and a very loyal friend.  I believe my family is my strength and my friendships - many are from what started as a business associate - allow me to feel free to always strive for greatness both personally and professionally.

Will we get to see you at the upcoming Affiliate Ball in Vegas January 16th where the industry unites and Fat Joe will be performing among other fun surprises? What are you most looking forward to?

I will absolutely be there with bells on. I love a good party.  What I find most exciting about the Affiliate Ball is being able to come together with great people, have good conversations, be able to let loose a bit and further strengthen the genuine friendships I have built within this industry.
